Obituary for Betty Katherine Probus

Betty Katherine Sheckles Probus 80, of Elizabethtown passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at her home.
She raised twelve children, loved her family and friends, she attended First Christian Church of Elizabethtown, was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and loved the American Legion Riders Post 113.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James E. Sheckles and Ethel Ingram Sullivan; husband, Delmar Ray Probus; two sons, Danny and Joseph Probus; a daughter, Joyce Garrett Searcy and four brothers, Patrick and Allan Sheckles and David and Richard Sullivan.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Probus (Susan) and Johnny Probus (Debbie); two daughters, Darlene Probus and Debby Richardson (Randy); a sister, Donna House (Eddie); a brother, Gene Sullivan; eighteen grandchildren, Johnny Ray Probus, Jeremy Probus, Shawna Probus, Aaron Probus, Lucas Probus, Tessa Probus, Justin Probus, Danika Probus, Katie Voorhees (Jeremy), Chris Probus (Daisy), Robert Richardson (Cassie), Michael Richardson, Jennifer Ford, Lisa Martin, Tina Martin (Anthony Higgins), Mesha Probus, Jesse Garrett and Thomas Searcy and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Central Kentucky.
