Obituary for Alice Faye Anderson

Alice Faye Anderson, known as Faye, 80, of Elizabethtown passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was a loving and a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lilburn Mullins and Cora Perry Mullins, Son Timothy Charles Anderson and siblings Dixie Gibson, Curtis Mullins, Mack Mullins, Lacy Mullins, Cecil Mullins, Clyde Mullins, George Ray Mullins (twin brother), Douglas Mullins, and Virgil Mullins.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Collins of San Antonio, Texas and Jeri Oakes of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, her granddaughters Adrea Pavek of Kansas City, Missouri and Katie Anderson of Lexington, Kentucky and nephews Robert Gibson and Steve Gibson, both of Norton, Virginia.
Mrs. Anderson served her community from 1994 to 2006 as a Commissioner of the Elizabethtown Tourism and Convention Bureau. She was honored to serve on the bureau and drew on her professional hospitality manager experience gained as a Hotel Manager for Commonwealth Lodge/Holiday Inn South, Banquet Manager for Holiday Inn North, and multiple other management positions in the hospitality industry in the local area. As a military spouse, she also served in many hospitality management positions at Army military posts.
Services will be conducted 11AM Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Park in Elizabethtown with Rev. Scott Wiggins officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8PM Tuesday, September 11,2018, at Dixon-Atwood & Trowbridge Funeral Home.
